Julian Red was founded by head designer Mattias Lind in Gothenburg, Sweden, in late 2002. The brand takes its name from a character in B.E. Ellis’ novel “Less Than Zero.” In the book, Julian is a disillusioned punk with an intensive relationship to art and music. Julian’s attitude reflects the brand’s close connection to art and music and marks the guidelines to a rebellious approach to fashion. The men’s and women’s collections have a sharp, edgy and artsy feeling and revolve around defined concepts and ideas.
