Amanda Christensen AB

Established in 1885, Amanda Christensen was a seamstress, designer and the founder of Amanda Christensen AB. After just two years years she had more than 20 employees under her command. Amanda Christensen is now one of the leading tie manufacturers in Europe and the sole supplier of neckwear to the Swedish Royal Family.

Each tie is cut from the finest Italian silk, hand stitched, labeled and pressed in 23 distinct operations. This pedantic process ensures the ties withstand the rigours of day to day wear and sets each garment apart from mass produced neck ties.

Dr Denim Jeansmakers

Astronauts know space, mechanics know cars and Dr Denim knows jeans.

August 2004 saw the first ever exhibit of Dr Denim jeans at a tradefair in Copenhagen. The orders soon rolled in and Dr Denim jeans began to occupy the shelves of some of Sweden’s most forward thinking boutiques.

The ethos is simple – sometimes things should look good just for the sake of it.

But good looks are alone is not the only reason that Dr Denim has become renowned the world over. Each pair of jeans is the prouct of over 35 years of family tailoring and top notch materials. Form, fit and function are given equal consideration to create a product that is well designed, durable and dependable.

The Dr Denim range now extends far beyond denim alone to include shirts, shorts, chinos, cardigans, dresses, jumpers, coats and even ties.

Julian Red

Julian Red was founded by head designer Mattias Lind in Gothenburg, Sweden, in late 2002. The brand takes its name from a character in B.E. Ellis’ novel “Less Than Zero.” In the book, Julian is a disillusioned punk with an intensive relationship to art and music. Julian’s attitude reflects the brand’s close connection to art and music and marks the guidelines to a rebellious approach to fashion. The men’s and women’s collections have a sharp, edgy and artsy feeling and revolve around defined concepts and ideas. The brand is popular among students and the small arty crowd in Sweden and the same type of crowd is embracing Julian Red the world over.

TMOD

Smoke & Mirrors was born from a jewelry fiddling addiction. Smoke & Mirrors draws on geometric form and resolution while merging the boundaries of object and fashion design.

Each design is a relic of the past, with a nostalgic reference to ancient puzzles and games. The very meaning of Smoke & Mirrors alludes to artful deception; tricks that are translated into the functionality of each piece and concealed with a mysterious charm.
