Same-Dirt

same dirt different day

Our current exhibition, Same dirt different day, is a collaborative effort by Sydney artists Jess Cally and Alex Pye who explore notions of the everyday.

Inspired by city living, both artists have incorporated illustrative work from a range of mediums such as bus tickets, coffee cups, exercise books and toothbrushes.  Cally and Pye are hoping to expose mundane objects in order to  highlight the importance of the smaller things in life.  Same dirt different day  also explores the idea of working as a ‘process’ and includes the final artworks but as well as the tools used to create them. This is to reference the everyday as routine and outline the importance of process within a contemporary gallery setting.

Join us for the opening on Wednesday 11th August 6-9pm

Exhibition continues until 5th September.
